Zakat Feature

Simplifying your obligation with our built-in calculator and distribution system

Zakat Feature

Zakat, the obligation to give a portion of one's wealth to those in need, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Amanah makes fulfilling this obligation simple, transparent, and secure through our built-in Zakat feature.

What is Zakat?

Zakat is a mandatory charitable contribution, ordained by Allah (SWT), that serves as a mechanism for wealth redistribution and social justice in Islamic societies. Every Muslim who meets certain criteria of wealth is required to give 2.5% of their qualifying assets to specific categories of recipients.

The Amanah Zakat Solution

Our Zakat feature simplifies the entire process of calculating and distributing your Zakat:

Automatic Calculation

The Amanah platform:

  • Automatically tracks your qualifying assets
  • Determines your Nisab threshold (minimum amount for Zakat obligation)
  • Calculates the precise 2.5% due on eligible assets
  • Adjusts calculations based on the lunar calendar
  • Provides transparent breakdowns of how calculations are performed

Digital Distribution

When it's time to pay your Zakat, Amanah makes distribution simple:

  • Direct transfer to verified Zakat-eligible recipients
  • Institutional distribution through recognized Islamic charities
  • Split payments across multiple recipients
  • Scheduled payments to distribute over time

Record Keeping

The platform maintains comprehensive records of your Zakat payments:
